"The History of Porn - Casanova"
Our Casanova was in his element and was soon recognized

quatre, which continued until the ambassador's return to France. This

Casanova’s New Year’s Eves memoir.
Although his sex life was very lively, he did not enjoy orgies, which were popular among the high society. Once he said: "Real love is the love that sometimes arises after sensual pleasure: if it does, it is immortal; the other kind inevitably goes stale, for it lies in mere fantasy."
Casanova's freedom ended in 1755 for a year. He was arrested and his
manuscripts, books, works on magic, and Aretino's book on sexual positions
were seized. Casanova was denounced as a magician and sentenced for five
years. As jails were not what they are today, he managed to escape and
make his way to Paris where he was welcomed with
open arms becoming quite the celebrity. During this period he hung out
with the European intellectual crowd and hobnobbed with the glitterati,
among them Mozart.
Casanova rubbed elbows with the Parisian elite whose disposable income
found its way into Casanova’s pocket during the many gambling parties
that had gained popularity throughout Europe. Casanova was fascinated
with gambling of all sorts when in 1757 as a member of the board of the
French State Lottery he introduced the first lottery, making him a millionaire
virtually overnight.
